Plas Madoc Parent Carers group

The Plas Madoc Parent Carers group is a group which has been developed to offer support and advice to parents who have a child with a disability.

The primary aim of the group is to bring parents together who have a mutual understanding of their situation and the difficulties involved when raising a child with a disability. The group is very informal and provides an opportunity for parents to socialise with other parents and to talk about any issues worrying them. It is also a chance to gain information on services available. Outside agencies attend the group on a regular basis to offer informative talks on services they provide. Examples of agencies who have attended include: Parent Partnership, Cerebra, Jiwsi and the Open University.

The group meets every Thursday at the Opportunity Centre Plas Madoc from 10.30a.m. -12.30p.m.

Mae grŵp Gofalwyr Rhieni Plas Madoc yn grŵp a ddatblygwyd i gynnig cefnogaeth a chyngor i rieni sydd â phlentyn gydag anabledd.

Prif nod y grŵp yw dod â rhieni ynghyd sy’n deall eu sefyllfaoedd ei gilydd a’r anawsterau sy’n codi wrth fagu plentyn gydag anabledd. Mae’r grŵp yn anffurfiol iawn ac yn rhoi cyfle i rieni gymdeithasu gyda rhieni eraill a siarad am unrhyw bethau sy’n eu poeni. Mae hefyd yn gyfle i gael gwybodaeth am y gwasanaethau sydd ar gael; mae cyrff allanol yn dod i siarad gyda’r grŵp yn rheolaidd gan roi llawer o wybodaeth iddynt am eu gwasanaethau. Dyma rai o’r cyrff sydd wedi ymweld: Y Bartneriaeth Rhieni, Cerebra, Jiwsi a’r Brifysgol Agored.

Mae’r grŵp yn cyfarfod bob Dydd Iau yng Nghanolfan Cyfleoedd Plas Madoc o 10.30am hyd 12.30pm.
