Play provision

AVOW Play and Community Development Department provide a number of different services for children, young people and residents of Plas Madoc and further afield.

At AVOW we recognise that Play is one of the most important aspects of children’s ( and adults) lives and is central to their experience and enjoyment of living, we know their opportunities for playing will directly affect how they feel about themselves and other aspects of their lives.

So, in July 2021 we were thrilled when the National Lottery Community Fund awarded £485,861 to support our Playwork in the community – the funding awarded is enabling us to help our community during these challenging times by developing a new model of integrated Play and Community Development work, building on existing high-quality Play and Youth provision and extending our reach into the wider community.

This investment will make such a difference to so many lives and will enable the team to build on the strengths within the community and empower our children and young people to have a greater say.
