Plas Madoc Community Development

Youth Provision

Venue@plas madoc

In the last year the venue youth club has moved from the buildings in Peris and is now located in the Opportunities Centre and caters for young people aged 11 – 18 years living in Plas Madoc.

The aim of the venue is to provide a safe, fun and interactive environment where young people can learn about the world around them, have space to interact with others and enjoy activities such as arts and crafts, quizzes, cooking, pool and table tennis. The sessions are all free to attend but a small charge of 20p is made for games of pool.

Senior Sessions (school years 9+ are welcome)

These sessions take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays   6 – 8pm

Venue Staff

Detached Youth Work

Staff can often be seen by residents throughout the estate engaging with young people in their own spaces. Work may include delivering activities, providing advice and signposting. This also gives the staff an opportunity to engage with young people who prefer to be outside in the wider community. Detached Youth Work takes place on Monday and Friday evenings.

All staff have full CRB’s and have completed the required level of training for their post.

Staff are always happy to see new faces and welcome ideas for future sessions and activities.
