At the recent Wrexham Social Enterprise Awards Empower – Be The Change received recognition in two categories.

Highly commended in the “Making a Difference” category.
Wrexham Social Enterprise Network set up and managed by Alison Hill, CEO of Caia Park Partnership, brings social enterprises together to share expertise, resources and ideas. The annual awards ceremony, sponsored by DTCC, recognises and celebrates the positive contribution social enterprises make to Wrexham and its residents.
In our first 18 months we have positively changed the lives of over 100 people through our programmes and continue to grow and expand our reach across North Wales.
Empower – Be The Change is delighted to have received these awards in recognition of our work and we would like to thank all our volunteers, partners and sponsors for their on-going support.
The Diana Award, 2017
Hannah Read nominated by Glyn Jones, St Christophers School & Jo Clay, Empower – Be The Change travelled to Cardiff with fellow students and staff to receive one of 10 Diana Awards for Wales at the Inspire Wales event.
The Diana Award is a charity legacy to Diana, Princess of Wales’ belief that young people have the power to change the world. 10 exceptional young people/groups from across Wales received this prestigious award in recognition for selflessly creating and sustaining positive social change.
Huge congratulations to Hannah from Empower – Be The Change. Fantastic and well deserved recognition for her hard work, commitment and positive encouragement of her fellow students.
Hannah, along with all the other winners will now be put forward for the chance to win one of 20 worldwide awards which will be presented in Buckingham Palace next spring. Best of luck to Hannah!
