Wrexham Area Civic Society AGM April 2018

Wrexham Area Civic Society

Meeting on 19 April 2018

“Acton Park – The Rise and Fall of an Urban Estate:

The History of Acton Park, Wrexham from 1300 – 2000”.  A talk by Alister Williams

The next meeting of the Wrexham Area Civic Society programme of events will take place on Thursday 19th April, 2018. The Society will also hold its Annual General Meeting on this evening, (so members are particularly urged to attend).

After the business of the Society (which usually does not take too long), a presentation is to be given by Alister Williams, entitled “Acton Park – the Rise and Fall of an Urban Estate: The History of Acton Park, Wrexham, from 1300 to 2000”.

We believe that Alister needs no introduction! And we look forward to his talk on the Acton Estate.

The meeting will take place at Ty AVOW, 21 Egerton Street, Wrexham, at 7.15 pm, promptly please because of the AGM business, so as leave plenty of time for the presentation. It will last until about 9.00pm.

All are welcome, admission is free. For more information about Wrexham Area Civic Society, please come to the meeting. This is an ideal meeting to discover the activities of the Society, as the Chairman will present his report on the activities of the past year during the AGM. Or you are welcome to contact the Secretary of the Society, Nick Roe, on 01978 263982, or visit our website www.facebook.com/wrexhamcivic.
