Third Sector Consultation: Wrexham Well-being Village
AVOW have launched a Third Sector consultation seeking views on a ‘Well-being Village’ proposed by Wrexham County Borough Council.
The Well-being Village would consolidate multiple services in one location in Wrexham for members of the public of all ages to access support for their personal, mental, physical and emotional health. The aim of the wellbeing village is to support the public at any age and at any stage of their life, to meet their needs and the needs of those they care for. These services would comprise of community and county services and organisations that currently exist in multiple locations across Wrexham County Borough.
The Well-being Village would aim to deliver services such as Education services, Learning Disability services and initiatives, Children’s Disability services, Occupational therapy, Physiotherapy, GP services, Mental Health services and initiatives, Drug and Alcohol services, CAMHS, Social Services, Benefit Agencies, Housing, Third Sector organisations and other organisations, services or initiatives from across the county.
The Third Sector consultation is designed to gather the opinions, interest and other opportunities for comment from Third Sector organisations and representatives.
