Neighbourly Connects with Lidl in Wrexham

Neighbourly connects companies like M&S and Lidl with local charities and community projects who can benefit from their support, from volunteering to fundraising to in-kind donations.

Neighbourly have recently partnered with Lidl to help them to manage their back of store surplus food programme, Lidl Feed It Back, and we are launching the scheme in parts of Wales in the middle of October.  We are currently in the process of connecting charities and community groups to their local stores.

At the moment, we have an opportunities for organisations in Wales to collect free food donations from various Lidls across the region throughout the working week between 11am and 7pm – we currently have the following availability:

Gwersyllt  (Monday to Friday currently available)
Mold  (Monday to Friday currently available)
Oswestry-Victoria (Monday to Friday currently available)
Queensferry (Monday to Friday currently available)
Wrexham (Monday to Friday currently available)
Market Drayton (Monday to Friday currently available)
Pwllheli (Monday and Tuesday currently available)
Porthmadog (Monday to Friday currently available)

Our system allows the stores to issue an alert for when they have food available. This means that a charity or community group can see what they have available before collecting and help them to plan how they will use it.  The food types would be a mixture of fresh fruit and vegetables, bakery goods and ambient food items.
