Lush Charity Pot
This fund supports small, grassroots organisations that are working in the in the following areas:
- Human rights.
- Animal protection.
- Projects should challenge the causes of injustice, animal abuse or environmental destruction.
Projects that create long-term change are given priority, so projects which prevent abuse, are given priority over projects which care for and rehabilitate victims of abuse. Projects should aim to tackle the root cause of the problem by changing opinion and behaviour through raising awareness of issues, activism, education and campaigning. Initiatives should reach beyond those directly involved in the project and have the potential to benefit many rather than just a few individuals.
Grants range from £100 to £10,000, but the average grant is £3,000. The majority of their funding is allocated to smaller groups who struggle to find funding elsewhere.
