Living Memory Scheme
The aim of the Living Memory scheme is to utilise the potential of The National Library of Wales graphic and audiovisual collections to unlock memories and to facilitate reminiscence therapy with older people and those living with dementia. ‘Living Memory’ packs (of archival photographs and films) are available free of charge; many have already been distributed.
We are eager that the staff of organisations who responded to our original online survey, which led to the development of the scheme, are given the opportunity to receive a pack. The resources available include:
- DVD of films presented in themes, namely leisure, places, rural life, the seaside and war;
- Printed photographs on various themes presented in a folder;
- USB memory stick with films and photographs.
An e-book is also available to download on this link: https://www.library.wales/living-memory/
If you’re interested in receiving one or more of the resources, please email us on:
noting what format specifically you would like to receive. The number of packs available are limited and will be distributed on a first come first served basis, so please contact us as soon as possible.
