Help make Wrexham Sea Cadets a reality again

The Sea Cadets would like to re-establish a Sea Cadet Unit in Wrexham, after 15 years without any provision.

The ethos is to give young people the best possible head start in life through nautical adventure and fun.  With this in mind, Wrexham Sea Cadets are looking for enthusiastic adults to join our Unit Management Team to help set up and run the unit, as well as youth leaders who would like to work directly with the Cadets on a weekly basis.

The Unit Management Team comprises an elected Chair, Secretary, Treasurer and committee members whose role is to raise funds to support the Sea Cadet Unit.

Youth leaders may become civilian or uniformed instructors and will receive full training to deliver the Sea Cadet programme to 10-18 year olds.

No prior experience is required; just commitment, enthusiasm, a willingness to learn and the desire to support young people in your community.  All Sea Cadet volunteers will be required to complete DBS disclosure (formally a CRB) and a 1-2 day induction course, run locally.  Further details may be found at http://www.sea-cadets.org/volunteer.

Once the unit has been set up, you will be mentored by a neighbouring Sea Cadet Unit.
