Greggs Foundation Environmental Grants Programme
The Greggs Foundation is a grant making trust that aims to make a difference to people in need at the heart of their local communities. The Environmental Grants Programme provides funding of up to £2,000 to support organisations to improve their local environment.
The programme is looking for projects run by not for profit organisations that aim to make a difference to a local area and involve or benefit people who are disadvantaged. Projects should improve the physical environment in a way that will improve people’s lives and can include the purchase of equipment, purchase of trees/plants, small capital projects and learning activities. Previous supported projects have included litter picking, an allotment for dementia sufferers and the creation of a community garden. Priority will be given to local organisations based near Greggs shops.
The maximum grant available is £2,000.
Who can apply?
Not for profit organisations. Preference will be given to small, locally based and community led organisations with a turnover of less than £300,000. Schools are also eligible to apply. Organisations are able to apply once per calendar year.
Round 3 opened on 25th June and closes on 28th September with decisions being announced by 23rd November. Please see the Greggs Foundation website for contact details.
