Engage to Change Celebration and Awards
Join Learning Disability Wales at the Engage to Change Celebration and Awards at The Springfields Hotel, Holywell on Thursday 14th June!
LDW are delighted to invite you to join us at this year’s Engage to Change’s Celebration and Awards at the Copthorne/Springfields Hotel! The event will celebrate the achievements of the brilliant young people who have been working towards employment through the project, and the collaborative employers who have worked with us to support them to fulfil their potential.
Whether you are a young person with a learning disability or autism, a parent or carer, or an employer, the day will contain sessions to interest you. Alongside the awards, the event will feature speakers and discussions aimed at empowering individuals to diversify the workforce.
The Engage to Change project is delivered in partnership between Learning Disability Wales, Agoriad Cyf, All Wales People First, Cardiff University, ELITE, and in collaboration with Project SEARCH. Engage to Change is funded by the Big Lottery Fund in partnership with Welsh Government through the Getting Ahead 2 grant – the largest ever awarded by the Fund in Wales.
The five-year project is working with 800 employers across Wales to help 1000 young people with a learning disability and/or autism develop their employment skills through paid placements.
