Welsh Happiness Day 23rd January
WELSH HAPPINESS DAY, 23rd January
What is it?
According to figures released by the ONS, Wales often lags behind the rest of the UK in term of levels of happiness and we want to help change this. As part of a week of programmes looking at mental wellbeing, BBC Wales is hoping to make the nation a little bit happier… by celebrating Welsh Happiness Day. Also part of the season, we’ll have three brilliant TV programmes, news stories and content across Radio Wales and our digital channels. To celebrate WHD, we’ll create opportunity for people to share what makes them happy, as well as publish some bespoke pieces of content. We want to encourage as many organisations as possible to get involved to achieve a bigger scale which will in turn, make a greater positive impact on the wellbeing of the nation. And have a bit of fun!
Happiness can have a positive effect on a person’s wellbeing, which in turn could lead play a part in leading a physical and mentally healthier life. BBC Wales are trying to encourage a positive change on the wellbeing on the nation.
23 January. The perfect antidote to Blue Monday which will be the week before – and there’ll be lots of entertaining and interesting insight into being happy on BBC One Wales on the day at 9pm.
We want everyone to get involved. Doing something to make you happy could make a true difference.
