Consultation on Promoting the Welsh Language

The Welsh Government have launched their new strategy for the Welsh language – to reach a million Welsh speakers by 2050: Cymraeg 2050: Welsh Language Strategy

Our attention is naturally drawn to how the third sector can contribute to this ambitious target. A number of new funding stream are coming available already including free Welsh language lessons and hopefully an innovation grants. More news to follow at the Eisteddfod.

The Welsh Language Commissioner’s Hybu Team play a pivotal role in supporting third sector bodies in developing their Welsh language services. We now want to take stock and develop a new work programme for the exciting years that lay ahead. We would be grateful if you as the sector leaders at a county level can fill in the questionnaire below and share this message with your members?

The Welsh Language Commissioner’s Hybu team want your opinion!

In our work with the third sector in Wales, we are always trying to provide the most appropriate support and advice to charitable organisations. Visit: www.welshlanguagecommissioner.wales/hybu for an overview of our work.

Your time in sharing your opinion via this questionnaire would be much appreciated: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/Hybu3sectorEN (closing date 18/8/2017)

If you have difficulty with the online version of the questionnaire, or need an accessible copy of the questionnaire, please get in touch on hybu@welshlanguagecommissioner.wales, 0845 603 3221. There will also be an opportunity to complete the questionnaire at the Commissioner’s stand at the National Eisteddfod in Anglesey.
