Coleg Cambria Groves High School Redevelopment

Cambria_RGB-finalColeg Cambria is continuing to work closely with Wrexham County Borough Council regarding the intended purchase of the Groves High School site.

A consultation event for local residents and members of the public is being held at Rendezvous Restaurant, at the college’s Yale site on Thursday September 11th between 5.00pm – 8.00pm.

Plans will be available for viewing and there will also be an opportunity to meet college staff and the architect to share views about the proposed development.
David Jones, Prinicpal and Chief Executive of Coleg Cambria said:

“We are very excited about this planned development adjacent to our Yale site which will offer additional curriculum development opportunities, parking and sports fields for the college.

“It will also give us the chance to restore the Groves buildings to their former glory for the benefit of the young people of Wrexham and surrounding areas.”
Cllr Neil Rogers, Leader of Wrexham Council said:

“This is an excellent opportunity for people to go along and see the plans for the future of this site which has remained undeveloped for some time now. It is also very appropriate that the site continues to offer educational opportunities for the young people of Wrexham.”
