Citizens Advice Cymru: Can you help us protect tenants in the private rented sector?

CACCitizens Advice Cymru would like your help to:

 –       understand more about what people think about renting in the private sector

–       what information is important to know up-front before signing a new tenancy contract.

The Welsh Government will introduce the ‘Renting Homes Bill’ in Spring 2015 to reform tenancies in Wales.

Currently we are concerned that the proposed changes will give people living in the private rented sector less security in their tenancy contracts, potentially making them subject to more short-term lets and with less protection from eviction.

We are looking for your help and support to gather evidence to help shape the new legislation so that the safety and security for people renting in Wales is protected and enhanced.

Please take 5 minutes to complete the online survey below if you have ever lived in the Private Rented Sector.

About my home – English

Paper copies are also attached should this be more suitable for you, your clients or your network if internet access is not available.

About my home – Owner Occupier    About my home – PRS tenants    About my home – Social Housing tenants

Please then send paper copies to:

Elle McNeil, Citizens Advice Cymru, 4th floor Trafalgar House, 5 Fitzalan Place, Cardiff, CF24 0ED

Thank you for your help with this important research to protect tenants in the private rented sector.
