Call for Volunteers to Assist with the Wrexham Open 2018
If you’re looking for a way to gain experience in the creative sector, get involved with Wrexham’s vibrant artistic community, develop practical skills for employment or just meet new people – volunteering to support the Wrexham Open 2018 could be for you!
The Wrexham Open is a collaborative project hosted by Tŷ Pawb and Undegun Arts Space, with support from Arts Council Wales, THIS Project and East Street Arts. The exhibition will span three gallery spaces over the two Wrexham town centre locations and run from Friday 12th October until Sunday 16th December.
We’re looking for enthusiastic people who are comfortable speaking to the public, and have a strong interest in the visual arts to volunteer with us during this project. Volunteers would welcome visitors to the gallery, provide them with information on how to vote for their favourite artwork to win the People’s Prize and tell them about the wider Wrexham Open events programme.
Volunteers are also encouraged to use their time in the gallery to produce their own artwork and/or writing to feature in Tŷ Pawb’s zine (mini magazine!) – you can see the last zine the volunteers team produced here: https://issuu.com/teampawb/docs/wrexhamisthenamezine_-_test
There are also opportunities to support Wrexham Open events at both Tŷ Pawb & Undegun, which are expected to include artist talks, activities for children and prize giving announcements.
Tŷ Pawb’s galleries are open seven days a week, so we can offer a volunteering opportunity that fits your schedule.
If you’d like to get involved, please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org to express your interest.
