Bupa UK Foundation’s ‘Healthy Futures’ Programme

The Bupa UK Foundation has launched its 2017 funding programme which is open to not-for-profit organisations in the UK. Running since 2015, the Foundation selects a different health theme for each round. This year’s theme is ‘Healthy Futures’ with a focus on young adults aged 18 to 25 years.

There is specific interest in projects that will have a positive impact on the health and well-being of young adults who face ongoing health challenges, supporting and empowering them to live life to the full.

It is expected that around 12 to 15 grants will be awarded in this funding round. The majority of grants are for £20,000 or less. A small number of grants are awarded within the £20,000 to £50,000 range, and occasionally grants of over £50,000 are awarded.

Applications should relate to a specific project, not ‘business as usual’ or core costs.

Successful grant recipients will receive an additional 15 per cent on top of grant funding awarded as a contribution towards core costs.

The funding is for practical projects that are designed to engage and support people directly.

Projects must clearly fit the following criteria:

Not-for-profit organisations, including social enterprises and community interest companies, based and operating in the UK can apply. Partnership bids will be accepted as long as there is one clearly identified lead organisation that will take a central co-ordinating role to ensure the project is delivered as outlined.

The deadline for first stage applications is 19 May 2017.
