Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board Consultation
Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board’s role is to improve health and provide healthcare services for the population of North Wales. We are working on a plan for the next ten years to help us meet the challenges we face. This will help us provide the excellent services that people have a right to expect.
We are living longer, and the good news is that many people stay in good health for much of their lives. However, we need to do more to help everyone to have an active and healthy happy life and to stay well as long as possible.
In recent years, we have had some difficulties in dealing with our challenges and were placed in “Special Measures” by the Welsh Government. Since that time we have been working hard to improve and have made progress in many areas. However, there is more to do and we recognise it will take time.
We have talked to many people over the last year and their views have helped us begin to develop our proposals. This paper isn’t our finished strategy. We want to make sure that everyone has a chance to tell us their views before we take our ideas any further. You can find more detail at http://www.bcugetinvolved.wales/
