Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board & AVOW:
Supporting people with mental health and/or learning disabilities
AVOW has received funding from BCUHB to provide a local grant scheme to create support for people with their mental health or if they have learning disabilities through the winter months.
We will be seeking particular focus on areas with high deprivation and poverty (but not exclusively as it is acknowledged issues occur across all our communities) as they are more likely to have experienced negative impacts of Covid 19 and poor mental health more generally. AVOW has been working with colleagues in WCBC to ensure funded activity fits with other local planning arrangements.
Organisations are able to apply for any amount up to £10,000.
Criteria
Applicants should be a legitimate voluntary or community group based in and/or supporting people in Wrexham County Borough.
A panel will be convened to assess all applications against the criteria listed in the application form. It is important that all applicants play a full and active part in the new County Winter Pressures Forum which is being coordinated by AVOW to bring together local organisations, WCBC and BCUHB to share experiences and issues over what is anticipated to be a very difficult period. The first Forum will be on 13th December at 10.00 am. Please register for this meeting by clicking here.
