“Today the Minister has announced additional funding for the current financial year.”
Please view the PDF document here: ‘Providing additional investment in third sector early intervention and prevention services to help build community capacity and recreate some of the critical support provided by this sector during the earlier stages of the pandemic (£3.8m),’ pages 21/22
This is clearly a significant issue that will likely have a massive impact on our communities. The above link has all of the background information around the WG targeted approach.
To assist in putting a proposal together by 4th November for Wrexham we are holding a meeting next Friday 29th October at 10.00 am to bring together Third Sector organisations and interested parties to discuss what they are able to offer in respect to Winter Pressures. To help we would like everyone to prepare approximately half an A4 summary of what your offer could be if you received up to £5,000. Note that all funds are for the period to the end of March 2022, so is equivalent to approximately £15k.
If you have any queries please email firstname.lastname@example.org by Thursday 28th, in order for us to have time to seek clarity from WG if we are unable to answer.
NOTE: If you are a branch of a national organisation could you check with your head office as some will be receiving funding directly as part of Wales-wide funding. Unfortunately, we have not been provided with a list of these organisations.
