The Association of Voluntary Organisations in Wrexham (AVOW) is the County Voluntary Council for Wrexham providing a wide range of support services for voluntary and community organisations throughout the County.
It is AVOW’s role to support, develop and promote community and voluntary activity. The Development Officer will play a key role in contributing to this work, raising awareness, signposting to other services and linking organisations to each other.
The successful applicant will show a commitment to, and experience of working in a community environment with a strong background in engaging groups to develop a robust community sector throughout Wrexham County Borough. A history of effective project management, partnership working and training experience is also essential.
The location is Wrexham County Borough with some travel to other areas and may involve evening work to attend meetings.
Salary: £21,953 pa
Hours: 37 hours a week
This role is funded for 10 months from the start of employment.
This post attracts a 7% employer contribution into the AVOW group pension scheme.
