Webinar: An Introduction to The National Assembly for Wales with WCVA

How many signatures do you need for a petition to be considered by the Assembly? What matters are devolved to Wales, and in what way can citizens have their say in the scrutiny of Government?

This webinar is an introduction to the work of the National Assembly for Wales as the democratically elected body responsible for representing the interests of Wales and its people, make laws for Wales and hold the Welsh Government to account. The session will cover the role of Assembly Members, the electoral system in Wales and what matters are devolved, as well as an opportunity to find out more about how you can get involved.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the webinar participants will:

  • Which decisions about Wales can be made in Wales
  • The role of the Assembly and who represent you
  • How the Assembly holds the Welsh Government to account
  • How you can begin to get involved and have your say
