Open 1st July 2020
Bids may be either for core funding or as a contribution towards a capital project. For core funding the maximum grant available is £5,000 and for capital projects the maximum is £10,000.
Requests for funding should be related to one of the hospice’s key services.
This might, for example, be to support the work of a community outreach team or Hospice at Home provision. The application should demonstrate clearly why the grant is needed, and what difference the Trust’s grant would make.
Hospices applying must be charities registered and operating within the UK. Applications are not accepted from faith-based charities or for multi-year funding.
Please note that the Trust can only contribute to capital projects with a total cost which does not exceed £1 million, and it should be made clear how any additional capital costs arising from the project will be met.
The Trust is unable to consider a further appeal from a successful applicant until at least two years have elapsed since that application.
HOW TO APPLY
Applications must be submitted online using the application form provided.
As part of the application process applicants will be asked to submit:
- A detailed budget and cash flow forecast
- An audited set of the charity’s last Trustees’ Report and Financial Statements
- An up to date statement of the charity’s available free reserves, and their justification if they exceed the Trustees’ policy.
Before applying applicants should ensure that they have read the guidelines.
The window for applications opens on 1 July and closes on 30 September. Applications will not be accepted after this date. Decisions will be conveyed to applicants in December.
Applicants should contact the Trust, should they have any further questions on email@example.com.
