Plas Madoc Play Provisions run all year round projects that are free to attend for children and young people from Plas Madoc and surrounding areas.
All projects aim to build confidence and promote participation in the community for the children, young people and also the adults who reside here.
These are the projects under Play Provision:
Plas Madoc Adventure Playground
For children and young people aged 5-16 aiming to provide a varied environment where children and young people can experience risk and challenge. The project is open access so children and young people are free to come and go as they please.
For children and young people aged 5+. The project runs Tuesday – Friday 4.30pm-7.30pm, play workers visit each street on the estate and provide opportunities for play in the community.
Get Out and Play
Open access play scheme that runs throughout the holidays for children and young people aged 5+. The project rotates around the estate visiting areas where children have a natural inclination to play.
The inclusion project runs alongside the play scheme, providing support for children and young people who are unable to access any of the projects independently.
‘The Land’ is a staffed open access adventure playground situated in Plas Madoc. The playground is free to attend for any child aged 5+, under 5’s are welcome with parents/ carers.
‘The Land’ is open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday, opening times vary.
The adventure playground forms part of a portfolio of play opportunities offered on the estate of Plas Madoc which includes ‘Street Play’ and ‘Get Out and Play’.
