Where are we now?
Learning Disability Wales, Cardiff Law School and their partners would like to invite you to a special one day event looking at the experiences of disabled people and their families, and the developments in law and practice in Wales affecting them.
This conference will take stock of developments in the law and practice in Wales concerning the rights of disabled people and their families, with particular focus on:
- social care
- special education rights
- how to remedy failures by public bodies.
The conference brings together many leading disability law and policy practitioners and commentators, whose work has shaped the law and practice in this field. The event provides an opportunity for discussion and debate and will be of special relevance to those who are affected by legislation such as:
- Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014
- NHS (Wales) Act 2006
- Education Act 1996
- Equality Act 2010
