What’s Stopping You From Being an Assembly Member?
Ensuring that people from a variety of backgrounds, with different experiences, and from all parts of society, are represented is important to democracy. The Wales Governance Centre is seeking participants for a new project that looks at the barriers facing people when making the decision to stand for election to the National Assembly for Wales – whether they eventually stand or not. The centre wants to discover what influences encourage or deter people when making that decision.
As well as people with prior experience of politics, the centre is keen to engage with people that have not undertaken a political role yet, for whatever reason.
