UK Aid Direct Small Charities Challenge Fund Taking Applications for 2018
This grant funding is designed to strengthen small grassroots development organisations working with the poor, vulnerable and most marginalised in priority countries.
The Small Charities Challenge Fund (SCCF) is part of UK Aid Direct, the Department for International Development’s (DFID) main fund for small and medium sized civil society organisations. The Fund is managed by Mannion Daniels on behalf of DFID.
The funding will support Britain’s small not-for-profit groups to scale-up and increase the reach and efficiency of their projects.
Grants of up to £50,000 are available for projects of up to two years.
The funding is for projects to scale-up and increase the reach and efficiency of their interventions in:
- Any of the lowest 50 countries in the UN Human Development Index (HDI).
- The countries that DFID considers to be of high or moderate fragility.
There is no limit on the number of applications one organisation can make.
The funding is available to small-sized, not-for-profit UK registered organisation with an income of £250,000 or less that are working to support the goals of UK Aid Direct, and aim to reach the most vulnerable or marginalised in society.
Although applications can be made at any time, they are reviewed on a six-monthly basis.
The closing date for the second review of proposals is 29 March 2018 (5pm).
