Trust – The Foundation for Success
Summer School is an intensive, five-day residential learning experience bringing together leaders and managers to address key issues on a specific leadership topic.
The 2014 event will take place from 23 to 27 June at University of Wales, Trinity Saint David, Lampeter. The theme is ‘Trust – The Foundation for Success’.
Over the course of the event, Summer School 2014 will focus on developing new insight and understanding of the latest thinking around the value of trust. In addition, enhancing the skills needed to develop innovative approaches to meeting the unprecedented demands facing the Welsh public service.

Who is Summer School for?
Summer School is aimed at senior managers and leaders from across the public and third sector in Wales, who influence and shape the delivery of our services and who are engaged in leading change. It is particularly relevant for those who are working through challenging times and seeking to make significant improvements to their organisational business.
How do I apply?
Places for Summer School will be awarded through a competitive selection process. By completing and returning the application form you are confirming that you wish to attend the Wales Public Service Summer School 2014 which will be held 23 – 27 June 2014. You will also be confirming that you wish to attend for the full duration of the residential course which will be held at University of Wales, Trinity St David, Lampeter..

There is a nominal cost for Summer School of £400 which covers a contribution to learning costs for the event. The cost of accommodation and food for the week is covered but delegates travel costs will not be met by the programme.
Summer School is developed as a week-long immersive experience and as such it is important that all delegates attend the whole week’s learning to gain maximum benefit. Furthermore, it will be necessary to attend each day in order to work towards one of the accreditation options. Priority will be given to those applicants who are able to fully commit to the experience.
Please note that should you be awarded a place at Summer School and then withdraw from the programme, your organisation may be required to pay the full cost.
