SHARES OF £80.5K UP FOR GRABS IN COMMUNITY FUNDING SCHEME
This month, Skipton Building Society has launched its Grassroots Giving scheme for the second year running, with 161 pots of £500 available to grassroots community groups across the UK.
Skipton Building Society is urging all non-charitable community groups to apply for the funding via their website. The scheme proved a huge success last year- with over 1,000 applicants including community gardening groups, sports clubs, and community libraries to name a few!
Grassroots Giving is a fantastic scheme to be a part of, supporting groups beyond purely cash donations. It also offers groups help and advice on how to strengthen and raise their profiles, with free downloadable resources. Groups will also be given the opportunity to be a part of ‘Project Dirt a new social networking site designed specifically for community groups, allowing them to interact and share ideas with each other.
