Review of the Police and Crime Plan – Your views
Each year Mr Roddick has launched a consultation on his Police and Crime Plan. The Plan, which was first published in March 2013 and updated for March 2014 , sets out the direction for North Wales Police and the Commissioner’s vision for tackling crime. It was prepared following a similar ‘call for evidence’ to gather the public’s views.
Mr Roddick said: “I will once again be formally reviewing my Police and Crime Plan in December 2014 with a view to publish any revisions in the new year, however before I do so I want to hear what the people of north Wales think. People have been very keen to share their opinions with me, and it my role as their elected representative to listen.”
He added: “The public are the ultimate judges of how well we address and reduce crime in north Wales. The most impactful changes that I have implemented to date have been as a direct result of what people have told me, and I am keen to gather more views as I continue to develop the priorities and strategic direction within the Plan.”
“I want to hear from people of all ages and backgrounds about their recent experiences of crime and policing matters in north Wales. These can be personal or collective experiences, and I welcome all opinions from short comments to detailed research . This evidence will be a vital part of the annual review of the Plan to make sure that it continues to reflect the needs of communities throughout north Wales.”
