Research project: Leaving the Armed Forces and Living in Wales: An exploratory study of everyday decision-making as a civilian

Glyndwr

Glyndwr University have recently launched a research project, titled Leaving the Armed Forces and Living in Wales: An exploratory study of everyday decision-making as a civilian

The aim is to understand first hand the process of transition ex armed forces personnel experience once they leave the forces and become a civilian, with the purpose of ensuring that funding provided by local authorities can be optimised based on rich research evidence.

The team working on this project are: Darel Cookson, a Research Assistant on this project working alongside Dr. Nikki Lloyd- Jones.

They are looking to recruit ex armed forces veterans, who have left the forces within the past 5 years and have settled in North Wales, to take part in an interview/conversation about the transition period and/or the second stage of this project which is a flexible online brainstorming and sorting task.

They would be very grateful if you would take the time to pass on the enclosed poster to veterans you feel could be potential participants.

If you have any questions about this research project please contact the team directly: Nikki Lloyd-Jones – 07540 148 513 or email: veterans@glyndwr.ac.uk

Your input would be greatly appreciated.
