Minister visits Wrexham C2.0 session

Communities and Tackling Poverty Minister Jeff Cuthbert visited Caia Park Community Partnership in Wrexham on September 18th where staff members were receiving Social Media Training from C2.0.

The team from the Get Wrexham and Flintshire Online Initiative  (Wrexham Outreach Officer Steve Robinson and volunteer Dewi Jones) were working from the ‘Pass I.T. On’ course, designed by Flintshire Outreach Officer Mel Salisbury.
The Caia Park staff had the opportunity to have an informal chat with the Minister about social issues including those surrounding Digital Inclusion and the effect it has on their service users. The Minister was very keen to hear their views on one topic – the provision of white goods to people in areas of deprivation.
The Minister told C2.0 Area Broker, Kevin Roberts, that he had really enjoyed the visit and would be investigating a couple of the issues raised during the session on his return to Cardiff.
Kevin commented, “It is a testament to the professionalism of the team that things went so well, a good advert for the work we are trying to accomplish up here, and a brilliant opportunity for a North Wales enterprise to get the chance to chat to the Minister.”
