Is Britain Fairer? 2018 – Equality and Human Rights Commission Stakeholder Conference
Your chance to help shape their findings
Date: 19th June
Location: Cardiff City Stadium, Cardiff, South Wales and Glasdir Business and Conference Centre, North Wales simultaneously
The Equality and Human Rights Commission cordially invites you to our conference to share the preliminary findings of our upcoming Is Britain Fairer? 2018 review, to be published in October this year.
Is Britain Fairer? is our “state of the nation” report assessing progress on equality and human rights across Wales, England and Scotland since our last report in 2015 and identifying the key challenges needing to be addressed. We aim to use Welsh evidence within the report to produce Is Wales Fairer? 2018 and use it to set the national agenda for action on equality and human rights. We need your input to help us shape it.
The event will bring together government, civil society and business organisations that directly affect – and are directly affected by – equality and human rights issues in Wales.
Together, we will examine the emerging findings of this influential review ahead of publication and discuss how they may impact on our work, and yours.
The review looks at progress and challenges in the six domains outlined in our Measurement Framework: education, work, health, living standards, justice and personal security, and participation.
The event will also be an opportunity for you to alert us to any evidence gaps in the review and to help shape recommendations to improve equality and human rights outcomes. We need your help to ensure that our final report accurately reflects the current state of equality and human rights in Wales..
The findings will also help shape our Strategic Plan for 2019-2021, so this is an important and exciting opportunity to influence the Commission’s work over the next three years.
Information about our previous 2015 Is Wales Fairer? and Is Britain Fairer? Report is available on our website
