Government consults on its relationship with the sector
The deadline for responses to the consultation document, Continuity and change – refreshing the relationship between Welsh Government and the third sector in Wales, is 8 August 2013.
The consultation will inform Welsh Government thinking on:
- Its future support for the services for the sector provided by WCVA, county voluntary councils and volunteer centres.
- Its main means of engagement with the third sector, including the Third Secor Partnership Council and meetings with Welsh Ministers.
- The third sector’s contribution to Public Service Delivery and the Programme for Government.
- The future development of local third sector compacts (local agreements which govern the relationship between public sector organisations within local authority boundary areas and third sector organisations).
WCVA’s board has discussed a draft response, and is keen to hear the views of its members and other third sector organisations before this is finalised. WCVA’s draft response can be found at http://tinyurl.com/o8mn6wt.
