Get the Confidence to Learn Something New
Are you thinking about getting back into work? Or looking for opportunities to learn new skills and increase your confidence?
The ‘Confidence to Learn’ programme is a pilot project that will deliver family and community learning in local centres across rural areas of Wrexham, with a view to improving interaction between generations, building confidence and giving opportunities to people which may lead to future employment.
Since September 2017, community consultation workshops and classes have taken place in Brynteg Memorial Centre, Plas Pentwyn, Coedpoeth, Gwersyllt and Llay Park Resource Centres.
There are more workshops taking place in the resource centres in the coming months – contact the centres for more information and look out for our half term workshops which include Junior Chefs Academy cookery classes!
Children have already taken part in a Junior Chefs Academy class at Plas Pentywn, Coedpoeth, led by Head Chef Paul Cooper. See the video here:
Wrexham County Borough Council’s Business & Investment team has received funding for this project through the Welsh Government Rural Communities – Rural Development Programme 2014-2020, which is funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and the Welsh Government.
