Equality and Human Rights Exchange Autumn Event
The event will provide an opportunity to meet the new head of Equality and Human Rights Exchange for Wales Ruth Coombs, learn more about the recent work of the Commission, and participate in discussions around the following:
During the first session of the day we will discuss the Commission’s recently published strategy setting out what needs to change and who needs to take action to reduce gender, ethnicity and disability pay gaps.
The Working Forward initiative focuses on protecting the rights of pregnant women and new mothers in the workplace. As part of this session you will hear from existing Working Forward members on their experience of signing the Working Forward pledge and some of the positive outcomes that come from being members.
3.Public Sector Equality Duty Strategy 2017-19
After lunch we will present our Public Sector Equality Duty strategy for 2017-19 which includes our approach to monitoring, compliance and enforcement. As part of our afternoon session on the PSED we will be discussing the areas we will be monitoring on across key sectors.
Colleagues from across human resources, particularly those who may be involved in PSED monitoring 2017-19, or those with a particular interest in any of the following topics would find the event useful: identity based bullying, access to services, mental health, identity based violence such as hate crime or sexual harassment.
