Equality and Human Rights Commission Strategic Plan Consultation
Sent on behalf of Equalities and Human Rights Commission
On 27th October 2015 we will launch our Strategic Plan consultation for the period 2016-19. The Commission is required under the Equality Act 2006 to consult on and publish a strategic plan every three years.
This will coincide with the publication of Is Britain Fairer? Our report on the progress of equality and human rights in Britain. This report which we are obliged to produce every five years sets out the key equality and human rights challenges which have fed into the development of our Strategic Plan.
We want to hear how our draft strategic objectives resonate with you and how we can work together to move the equality and human rights agenda forward in Wales. We are interested in your views on the Strategic Plan and what you see as the most helpful role for the Equality and Human Rights Commission in Wales.
It is important to the Commission that our Strategic Plan is relevant to our stakeholders and we would like to invite you to one of two third sector events to discuss it with us.
During the day there will be:
- An update of Is Wales Fairer? which will be published in December. This will report on equality and human rights progress and key challenges in Wales.
- An opportunity to discuss the role of the third sector in holding the public sector to account and achieving public service improvement.
We look forward to seeing you at these events.
Very best wishes,
