Alzheimer’s Society: Research Network Volunteer, North Wales
This is a role that can be undertaken from home.
What will I be doing?
Research Network volunteers use their personal experiences of dementia to help Alzheimer’s Society make crucial decisions about dementia research. Volunteers in this role prioritise and comment on grant applications; sit on grant selection panels; and tell others about the results of research.
No specific skills or training are required to be a Research Network Volunteer; what matters is the personal experience of people dealing with dementia on a daily basis. Because of this, the role is available to people with dementia, or carers (currently or at some time in the past) of people with dementia.
How much time do you expect me to commit?
The amount of time required is flexible, although reading through applications can be time consuming. You do not need to be involved in every application, and you can request to opt-out for a specific period due to family responsibilities or illness.
To register an interest in this role please send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org, including your contact details, the role you are interested in, and your geographical location. Alternatively, please call Matt Murray on 0207 423 3603.
