Volunteer: Support Buddies – Ongoing

Support Buddies - Ongoing

Macmillan Cancer Support is looking for Volunteer Support Buddies in the Wrexham area. This is a new and exciting volunteer-led service which aims to provide practical and emotional support to people affected by cancer, including carers and family members.

Volunteers will be fully trained and will provide support which could be tailored to the individual needs of those affected by cancer, for a couple of hours a week or so over an agreed period of time.

Support could include helping around the house, assistance with shopping, giving lifts to appointments,

preparing a light meal, signposting to other services or simply having a chat over a cup of tea.

Our next induction training is taking place over a day and a half on Wednesday 7th & 14th March in Wrexham.
