Shopmobility Research Volunteer

Location Shopmobility Wrexham

Role

To approach local businesses and services in Wrexham, to find out if they would be willing to offer discount or award schemes to Shopmobility customers.

Report back findings.

Also looking at the practicalities of customers with disabilities being able to access these places using scooters, wheelchairs etc. Attend meetings to discuss and review findings.

Tasks include: Emailing, phoning and visiting shops, taxi firms and businesses in Wrexham. Attending meetings Present and review findings Giving input into recommendations to develop the Shopmobility service.

What is Shopmobility?

Shopmobility is a service that helps all people who consider themselves to have mobility problems (whether through disability, illness or injury) to continue to get around city and town centres independently, with freedom, confidence and dignity.
